Final Survey Report Document: (Download) In 2008 Main Street Mosier hosted 15 Focus Group sessions involving cross-section of Mosier area residents. All residents of the Mosier Valley area were encouraged to attend. The 85 questions of the Mosier Community Survey were created directly from the comments and ideas of these participants. The surveys were then mailed to 1097 households. Main Street Mosier completed the Mosier Area Household Survey Results summary and final report in February 2009 with the assistance of a grant from the Oregon Investment Board.
Mosier Vision Booklet: (Download) In April 2009, Main Street Mosier created a Vision Booklet from the larger Final Survey Report Document.
On October 7, 2009, Mosier City Council adopted both documents as background documents to support current planning interpretations, long range planning amendments to the Comprehensive Plan, Zoning, and Land Division Ordinance, and for prioritizing grant funding opportunities. Staff was directed to refer in particular to the Goals published in the color handbook when preparing the next round of Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance amendments. The Comprehensive Plan will also make clear cross reference to the full Household Survey Results document, designating it as the background document from which the new Goals were derived.
Historic Survey Report: (Download) This report was funded and developed by Oregon Main Street for the City of Mosier. This work is important for the planning of downtown revitalization efforts as it documents our historical buildings in downtown Mosier, assists in the re-use of existing buildings and other public projects, and helps us to define our traditional commercial area.
